The Fingerprint Authentication Feature on WhatsApp soon.

The feature will add to Android devices is still under development.

It will come with Android Marshmallow and newer devices. It is currently testing beta mode and once its done then WhatsApp users will get the Updates for Fingerprint feature.

According to WABetainfo report, WhatsApp finished developing the Facial ID and Touch ID for the iOS devices and that will also available soon. The date to be released the feature is still unknown. WhatsApp has finally started to work on the Authentication feature on Android, using your Fingerprint.

In the Privacy section of WhatsApp settings you will be enabled your fingerprint authentication. When you open the WhatsApp app it will first check your fingerprint to access the app. But here you will have choice “Use Device Credentials”. It means if you have enabled the fingerprint sensor in your device and use it to unlock the device, the same can be used here as well.

The app are still in alpha stage. Your phone device must have to fingerprint sensor.

Backup PIN option will also available, when setting up fingerprint scanning feature on mobile devices.
