A web designer understands that a good User Interface is not about the pretty graphics, but it is all about creating a site that a user can browse easily hence here are 6 user interface tips that will help in improving conversion rates.

1. Make the Users Type as Less as Possible:
When you ask the users to fill in a form, a good designer would make sure that the user does not need to type a lot as it becomes inconvenient, especially when a user is filling a form from the mobile phone hence give easy options like radio buttons and checkboxes to make the entire process simpler and only ask for mandatory fields you wish them to fill, too long forms may frustrate the user and they may leave the page. Make sure to secure the user data by adding security to the site such as using encrypted SSL certificate and adding a firewall to the site.

2. Make the Entire Experience Simpler:
End users are not interested in the design specifics of the website, all they want to do is get over with the process and move on, hence the design idea of building a site should not be to make it attractive or appealing, it should be focusing on the simplicity of performing the tasks. If users find your site easy to navigate through, they will be interested in returning to it.

3. Make Calls to Action (CTA) Stand Out:
This is one of the most common elements of a website discussed but it does deserve the attention it gets as this is the most important element of the site which will bring in conversion. Posting a small link is not going to be visible to the users and even if they want to engage, searching for this will make them lose interest hence the CTA needs to be visible as soon as someone looks at the page, which means you need to make it look quirkier than the rest of the site.

Use a graphical element to make sure the CTA stands out. You can also use a CSS button if you are concerned about the page load time to make the CTA button look more clickable.

4. Do Not Overuse Sliders:
Sliders have become really popular in many modern website designs and many sites use them to make their website look trendy but if you are using one, then you need to be careful about several things as what seems to be trendy can start looking messy if not designed right, especially on small smartphone screens.

Many times, sliders scroll so fast that it is hard to read what is written in them and a few websites use so many sliders that users become impatient to read all. Make sure to use a maximum of 3-4 slides, set the speed higher than 6 seconds for the users to read what is written, add large text sizes aligned properly even on mobile designs and do not use too much text in them, be precise and concise.

5. Do Not Fill in all the White Space:
Do not fill in the entire page with various elements as a site that has a lot of white space looks neat and clean and this makes it easy for the users to browse the page. Filling all the white spaces will make your website less legible to read.

6. Add Forgivable Error Messages:
Error messages on a site are a sign of a really bad design which is unforgivable. It confuses the users and they lose trust in your website altogether. Customize the error messages appearing on the page to make it look more forgivable and add a link to the homepage as well so that the users do not leave the site.

In Conclusion:

The tip which we would like to add on at the end which will help you bring in maximum conversion is to design for the users by stepping into their shoes rather than showcasing your design talent by adding many complex elements or for the search engines. Ultimately uses do not care about any complex elements, all they need is to land on a site that is easy to understand and navigate through.
